Miley Cyrus - Elvis Inspired Theme in new video, Younger Now - Watch Here!

Image
G I Blues inspired Miley Cyrus has released her new video, Younger Now which is very much Elvis inspired. Miley wears a jumpsuit and she recreates a scene straight out of Elvis Presley's 1960 film, G I Blues. Guess Miley doesn't have a Wooden heart after all!💖 It's the liberal 24-year-old's latest effort to win over (or perhaps win back?) country music fans and red-state residents, as promised in her June cover story for Billboard: "I don’t think those people are going to listen to me when I'm sitting there in nipple pasties, you know? " she told the mag. For the cover of "Younger Now," the former "Hannah Montana" star traded in her signature accessory for an Elvis-inspired coif and rhinestone jumpsuit. Her styling also paid tribute to her godmother Dolly Parton , who will be featured on the album's " Rainbowland " track. LA Times. Cyrus' full album drops on Sept. 29. Pre Order my new a...

Buy The Rights to Bluegrass Legend Bill Monroe's Name, Likeness and Image, plus more!

Image
The estate of the bluegrass legend and Grand Ole Opry star is selling his name and likeness, along with his hundreds of personal items and live recordings. Chance of a lifetime, friends! Fans of the father of bluegrass have the chance to buy the rebuilt cabin and 2 1/2 acres in Kentucky where Bill Monroe lived and played music with his Uncle Pen. The buyer will also own the rights to Monroe's name and image, which can be used in things like advertising and TV shows, along with his merchandise story. But Monroe died in 1996. So why is this happening now? "The simple, honest answer is that there's only one heir to this estate, which is his son, James," says Tony Conway, the agent for the family's estate. James "feels like there's someone out there who can do a much better job." Conway says James is looking to sell his father's assets to someone who will preserve and promote his legacy. In fact, conditions written into the contra...

Chris Stapleton talks about making it in Country Music

Image
Stapleton spoke on the phone last week with Music critic, Dan DeLuca before a show at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville. You did pretty good at the Country Music Television awards the other night, getting breakthrough video of the year for "Fire Away." But you didn't clean up the way you did at the CMA awards. CS:  We were really fortunate. That was a good night. I was shocked to even be nominated and to win any of them, let alone all of the ones we were nominated for. That's changed your life, I would guess. CS:  It flipped the switch. It meant we could play bigger venues. And there was a huge record-sales impact. It made a big difference. You grew up in Kentucky. How rural was it? CS:  It was in eastern Kentucky. A really small town, about 200 people. My dad was a coal miner. My mom was a stay-at-home mom, but she worked as a clinical dietitian. We all played music, but my brother and sister just went on to do other things. What did you list...

Jason James - I've Been Drinkin More (VIDEO)

Image
Check out Texas singer-songwriter Jason James. His music is true to traditional Country music yet rich with James' unique style. He's one to watch! From his bio: "The love that I have for traditional country music is like a mission to me," James affirms. "For me, there's never been any consideration of 'Well, if I change this, I might sell more records.' For me, it's always been all or nothing, and this is how I do it." The 13 original compositions that comprise Jason James make it clear that the artist is interested in making music that's timeless rather than retro, reflecting his interest in adding to country tradition rather than merely emulating it. Such catchy, impeccably crafted numbers as "Here Comes the Heartache," "I've Been Drinkin' More," "Back in My Arms" and "Fancy Limousine" have the ring of classic country songcraft, embodying the mix of swagger, sensitivity and...
