For almost 40 years, Elvis Presley's personal physician, Dr. George Nichopoulos lived in this house. Presley helped design it and pay for it and the King's fingerprints are easily seen. Crye-Leike Inc. realtor admits it would need a large investment to be brought up to date. The home was owned by the Nichopoulos family until June 2016, a few months after Nichopoulos passed. The sold it to Goshen Mortgage REO LLC, according to the Shelby County Register of Deeds, for $650,000. Dr George Nichopoulos, better known as Dr Nick has passed away on February 24, 2016 at the age of 88. He had been ill for the last few years and living in a care Facility.He died of a heart attack. He will be buried with Military honors. Dr Nick was beloved by many Memphians and Elvis fans around the world. Our thoughts and prayers to go out to his family at this difficult time.
