Protestors are encouraging EPE to drop the new FEE to visit Elvis Presley's Grave (Video)

Looks like Graceland's new fee to visit Elvis' grave and other jacked up fees are backfiring on them. Fans from around the world, as well as Memphians and local businesses have reached out to me to express their outrage. Some even saying, this may be the last hurrah. And that maybe the company or "campus" as they now call themselves has become too greedy. And that they are USING last year's protests as an excuse to charge fans to pay their respects to Elvis during the candle light vigil started BY FANS and FOR FANS . Even protesters from last year are encouraging EPE to drop the 28.75 FEE. From Fox 13 Memphis Demonstrators who filed a discrimination lawsuit against Graceland told FOX13 they believe their protest last year may have led to this year’s security changes during Elvis Week. In an email to FOX13 Thursday, Elvis Presley Enterprises confirmed what it called “updated security measures” during Elvis Week. Related Headlines For the first time, Gr...

EPE announces FEE to visit Elvis Presley's grave

Image
Elvis fans, for the first time ever, will have to pay to get onto the grounds at Graceland for the vigil. A wrist-band will cost between $28-$75 and without it, Elvis fans will not be allowed through the gates of Graceland. Many fans are horrified and outraged. One fan even went as far as to call them Money Hungry Bastards. Pretty CLEVER this was just announced LATE Thursday night when fans are just arriving or headed to Graceland, huh? Too late to cancel. Maybe Clever is the wrong word. More like Sneaky and dishonest! It also shows they KNEW fans would be upset about this. IF this really was a "safety" concern, why not be upfront about it? My Fox 13 Memphis reached out to Elvis Presley Enterprises Thursday evening and they received this statement from EPE "This year we have updated our security measures at Graceland for Elvis Week, as we anticipate very large crowds for this 40th anniversary. In order to keep everyone safe and ensure an enjoyable and ...
