For almost 40 years, Elvis Presley's personal physician, Dr. George Nichopoulos lived in this house. Presley helped design it and pay for it and the King's fingerprints are easily seen. The home's distinct design features a racquetball court, an indoor atrium and uniquely colored shag carpeting. The home was finished in 1976, one year before Presley's death. Now, you can own it: The East Memphis home on Cottingham Place has been listed for sale. The six-bedroom, six-and-a-half bathroom home is carries a price tag of $549,900. Crye-Leike Inc. realtor admits it would need a large investment to be brought up to date. The home was owned by the Nichopoulos family until June 2016, a few months after Nichopoulos passed. The sold it to Goshen Mortgage REO LLC, according to the Shelby County Register of Deeds, for $650,000. Crye-Leike principal Kim Hairrell is now the home's broker.
