Aretha Franklin was interviewed by The Today Show's Al Roker this morning. She told Al how she will remember Whitney. " She had this little twinkle in her eye. She didn't just smile with her lips. She had this little twinkle in her eye. Something happened and I wrote a little something with that in mind. And that was, twinkle twinkle superstar we don't wonder where you are. Up above the world so bright, like a diamond in the night. Twinkle, twinkle she stood alone. I can't believe that she's gone."

Aretha Franklin, Houston's godmother, says, "I just can’t talk about it now. It’s so stunning and unbelievable. I couldn’t believe what I was reading coming across the TV screen. My heart goes out to Cissy, her daughter Bobbi Kris, her family and Bobby."
