Elvis NEVER lived in Zsa Zsa Gabor's Bel Air Mansion

Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband Prince von A-hole, I mean Prince von Anhalt has been telling the press for years now that Zsa Zsa's Bel Air estate was once owned by Howard Hughes and Elvis Presley. In fact, they even claimed to have bought the home directly from Elvis' estate after he died. But Gabor also once claimed to have bought the home directly from Howard Hughes as well.
But now Barbara Yobs, a local mortgage banker tells LA Weekly that in fact, her grandparents built the home and then sold it directly to Gabor in 1973. Yobs said having the prince say all these things really got to her. She also gave a copy of the deed to prove the value of the home was not $600,000 as they claimed. Gabor paid 250,000 for the home.

Yobs, a proud granddaughter would like her grandparents history in the home to be known. John and Gladys Zurlo. Her grandfather was in the real estate business buying, selling and even building properties. They built this home in 1955 and lived there until 1959. At that time, they moved into another property of theirs on Sunset. Opting not to have to take care of such a large estate. She said her own parents lived in the home in 1956 for six months. Her dad was a milk man who got up every morning at 3 AM and headed out of Bel Air in his milk truck.

Howard Hughes leased the home from the couple for most of the 60's. She says in fact, he wore a hole in the hallway carpet from pacing.

Yobs says multiple mortgages have been taken out on the home. She warns any real estate agent who takes on this listing to be prepared to tell the truth otherwise they could face litigation.

She also adds that despite Zsa Zsa snubbing her grandmother 20 years ago when the two ran into each other, Grandma asked if Gabor was enjoying the home. Zsa Zsa asked who she was. Yobs hopes Gabor had much happiness in the home.
BIM: We commend Yobs for coming forward with this information. It's a shame when people use celebrity names to make themselves bigger, or in this case, their property value bigger. Eventually, they all get exposed as scam artists, cons and liars.
