Elvis Presley's Memphis is Spectacular!





The fans have spoken and they are LOVING the new complex!

Priscilla Presley is an amazing host. She is so graceful and well spoken. And no one knows Elvis like Priscilla. Despite all she is going through, Priscilla was right there in Memphis with the fans for the opening of the new complex. And I bet Elvis could not be any prouder. it's amazing to hear Priscilla tell the fans in her owns and memories of standing in Graceland with Elvis and looking out to what is NOW the complex compared to what it was!

Between the guesthouse and now the new complex, EPE has brought 200 jobs to Whitehaven. And 75 percent of those jobs have gone to Whitehaven citizens according to Jack Soden. Hey, I might not always agree with all things EPE, but this is very cool!

I love how Joel says Elvis would have built a guesthouse for his fans. Yes, he would BUT he wouldn't have LIED and said it would be Super 8 prices and then it turns out to be beyond Peabody prices. Elvis would not even overcharge his fans on ticket prices. That's the sad part of this. Most Elvis fans are average Americans and these prices and the required nights to stay during Elvis Week are outrageous. Yeah, and I know fans say well, you had to expect this with the new hotel and complex. I say NOT when they were hawking SUPER 8 hotel prices! I was at the sales pitches, I heard it from numerous employees.


And by the way Joel, could you not have dressed like an adult? Instead of a 12 year old boy? This is ELVIS PRESLEY, buddy! It's not casual Friday, it's the opening of Elvis Presley's Memphis!

Well, let's get back to Priscilla Presley because she is awesome and she knew Elvis like no one!
I love hearing her stories about Elvis and Memphis! Priscilla is the first lady of Graceland!

Did Linda Thompson cheat on Elvis Presley with his own band member?

Linda Thompson acknowledges that she was fully aware Elvis Presley was seeing other women during their time together. For years, there has been talk that Linda, herself stepped out on Elvis with his own band member. In her book, A Little Thing Called Life, Linda dances around the subject quite cleverly. She acknowledges being sick and tired of watching Elvis sleep all day and the cheating. She talks about one day she finally left Elvis sleeping and went out during the day. It was then that she developed a friendship with Elvis' keyboard player, David Briggs. Linda admits to being attracted to David. But she says they did NOT start dating until AFTER Elvis and her relationship ended. Although through the years, others have said differently including David Briggs. Sheila Caan has passed away

Sheila Caan has lost her battle with Cancer, our thoughts and prayers go out to her family & friends. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal Sheila (Ryan) Caan dated Elvis Presley, went on to marry actor James Caan  with whom she has a son, Scott Caan, also an actor. Sheila & son Scott, you will be missed! Sheila fought a long battle with Cancer. And those of us who have parents who also fought the fight, know the pain.
