Memphis Comic And Fantasy Convention



The Memphis Comic And Fantasy Convention takes place on November 5-6 at the Memphis Cook Convention Center.

Hometown Wrestling Hero Jerry Lawler may best be known for his work in the Ring, however, at the MCFC, we will be celebrating his work at the drawing table.
From Comic Book  Drawings, to  Formal  Paintings in Oil and Watercolors, the range f this incredibly gifted Artist is truly remarkable.
At the MCFC Jerry will not only be signing prints of his previous work, but he will also be armed with his sketchpad, ready to create a custom drawing  just for you.
Suzanne Leigh

Suzanne Leigh began working in movies while still a pre-teen appearing as an extra in several British productions.
Some of  Leigh's films  include, Boeing Boeing. Paradise Hawaiian Style, Where she played the love interest of  Elvis Presley. The Lost Continent,  Lust For  A Vampire, and The Deadly Bees.
In 1974 she starred in the role as Amber in the  Son of  Dracula, starring  Harry Nilsson in the title role and Ringo Starr  as Merlin the Magician, one of the great "lost films",  which became  something of a cult favorite in later years.
Her 1998 autobiography is entitled Paradise, Suzanna Style

and:
Denise Crosby created the role of Lt. Tasha Yar on one of the most popular TV series ever, "STAR TREK, THE NEXT GENERATION." She later returned to play Tasha's daughter, Sela, a role she helped create.
Denise co-starred alongside Fisher Stevens and Jennifer Tilly in the FOX Series, "KEY WEST," and has played recurring roles on "NYPD BLUE," "THE X-FILES," "MAD MEN" and "LOIS AND CLARK: THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN." She has guest starred in numerous TV series, most recently "DEXTER," "CROSSING JORDAN" and "BONES." Denise is currently playing Capt. Susan Sallinger on the acclaimed series "SOUTHLAND" on TNT.
She co-starred in Stephen King's classic film, "PET SEMATARY." Denise made her film debut in "48 HOURS," and went on to work with Blake Edwards in "THE MAN WHO LOVED WOMEN" and "SKIN DEEP" with the late John Ritter. She teamed with Quentin Tarentino in "JACKIE BROWN," and Mimi Leder in "DEEP IMPACT." Denise has worked in Indie films such as the Sundance Film Festival Winner "MIRACLE MILE" and "THE RED SHOW DIARIES" directed by Zalman King.
Denise has also worn a different hat as Producer and Host of the feature documentary "TREKKIES" released by Paramount Pictures. The film reteams her with director Roger Nygard who directed her in the Indie comedy "HIGH STRUNG," written by comedian Steve Oedekerk. They also worked together on the sequel, "TREKKIES 2," currently out on Paramount Home Video.
Denise currently resides in L.A. with her husband, writer Ken Sylk and their 11 year old son, Augie, along with 3 goldfish, 2 cats and a very sweet Basset Hound named Clementine.

Arne  Starr is an Illustrator out of  New York, who began his career in Advertising and Animation, and became a long time Comic Book Artist.
Well known for his work on numerous Comics, from Green Lantern to Spiderman, and for his long run on Star Trek. He has segued into the world  of  Hollywood and Acting over the last few years.
Performing on "GREY'S ANATOMY," "MADMEN," "NCIS LOS ANGELES," as well as in both "IRON MAN" films, and 2009's "STAR TREK".
He is also  performing in NBCs  new smash hit  series "The Event". (With a little persuasion, you may be able get him to reveal some of the secrets going on behind the scenes  in that series.)
