Photoplay Editor Dies

Nancy Anderson, longtime West Coast editor of mag Photoplay, died Nov. 4 in Bell Buckle, Tenn., of natural causes. She was 92.
After working at a number of newspapers around the South, she moved to Los Angeles in the 1950s with her family.
She accepted an editor position with Photoplay Magazine and became known around Hollywood, developing friendships with the likes of John Wayne, Walt Disney and Elvis Presley, for whom she used to bake. After retiring from Photoplay, she wrote a weekly entertainment column for Copley News Service.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a sister.
