Thomas Kinkade to Auction Original Hand Sketch During Memphis Visit to Benefit St Jude

New National Thomas Kinkade Tour Format Combines Art Events with Select Charitable Causes

The Thomas Kinkade Company today announced that Thomas Kinkade, The Painter of Light™ will visit Memphis, Tenn, for a special art event hosted by The Thomas Kinkade Inspiration Art Gallery on Sunday, Nov 14, 2010 at the Esplanade Memphis Banquet & Conference Complex in Cordova, TN.

At the event, Mr. Kinkade will draw an original hand sketch that will be featured in a live auction benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. Local gallery owners Tommy & Tammy Ashker will also donate a limited edition canvas to St. Jude. “We are delighted at the opportunity to support St. Jude in their fight against cancer and other deadly diseases,” noted Thomas Kinkade. “We applaud their tireless efforts of St Jude as they continue to find cures and save children.”
The event also will feature the unveiling of a new plein air image entitled, “Impressions of Graceland,” painted on location by Thomas Kinkade during a visit to Graceland as well as a new national event format. Thomas Kinkade recalls, “I set my easel up on a crisp autumn morning and set about capturing Graceland as it welcomed in the day, creating a beautiful and fitting setting for the home of Rock ‘n Roll’s most prolific icon…Elvis!”
“We are very pleased to host Thomas Kinkade’s tour this fall. The new format with Thom’s brother, Patrick, sharing the stage will surely make this a fun and exciting event for all and will benefit St. Jude, an organization that makes Memphis proud everyday,” stated gallery owner, Tommy Ashker.

Sheila Caan has lost her battle with Cancer, our thoughts and prayers go out to her family & friends. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal Sheila (Ryan) Caan dated Elvis Presley, went on to marry actor James Caan  with whom she has a son, Scott Caan, also an actor.
