WREG Memphis - The Shelby County Health Department confirmed a fourth case of Legionnaires' disease. Health officials reportedly traced the disease back to The Guest House at Graceland's aquatics facilities. Legionnaires' is caused by a type of bacteria that is found naturally in the environment and is contracted when someone breathes it in. The health department said many people exposed to the bacteria don't become ill. The Health Department has asked if you stayed in at the Guest House between May 15 and June 26 and have experience coughing, shortness of breath, high fever, muscle aches, and headaches to contact SCHD at 901-222-9299. Graceland also released a statement saying their "primary concern is the health and welfare of their guests. WREG Memphis reports two men are accused of pretending to be housekeeping staff to enter rooms at the Guest House at Graceland. Officers were called to the hotel around 6 a.m. Sunday, where a security worker relayed complaints about men entering rooms, posing as housekeeping staff. He said he saw the suspects driving toward the exit, and police were able to detain them. The security worker told police one of the suspects used to work at the Guest House at Graceland but was terminated and banned from the premises. The Guest House at Graceland clarified neither suspect was an employee; they were contract agency workers, one former and one current. The hotel said it is terminating its relationship with that temp agency. Police said one of the suspects had a master key card in his possession as well as stolen property. The Guesthouse at Graceland already is a recommended hotel with a 4 star rating from Tripadvisor! That's BEFORE it's even open! WTG Graceland!!!! Still wish there were pictures of Elvis himself in the rooms since it's his money and more importantly his LEGACY that made it all possible! Many people will be a lot richer on the back of Elvis Presley. Show the man some respect with at least one picture of the man in the rooms!

By The Commercial Appeal Graceland will hold a job fair to help find 125 to 150 workers for its new 450-room hotel. Guesthouse at Graceland has scheduled a job fair and workshop Saturday and Monday open to the public. In a statement today, the Memphis tourist attraction said positions it is filling include accounting, front office, housekeeping, engineering, culinary, restaurant and banquet jobs. Applications made online at www.besthotelcareers.com by the end of the day Thursday will receive a scheduled interview time at the job fair and workshop and not have to wait in line. The sessions are scheduled 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days. Graceland said computer terminals will be available on the site to apply online. The sessions will take place at the Elvis Week Main Event Tent, located behind the Lisa Marie airplane attraction. Now let's work on the crime in the area and also hope it does not become like first class downtown hotels where ladies of the evening frequent especially during Elvis Week. It's very offensive to women and families yet beyond obvious. Advice to Mr. Hess , beyond your expertise, listen to Jack Soden and all the staff that has been there from day 1. They know the fans!  Recognize the faithful fans who come every year, save year round to be there, not just the hipster who will be there on a road trip and never again. We are your best customers!
