Lisa Marie Presley meets Linda Thompson for the first time




Elvis finished his engagement in Las Vegas. Elvis and Linda travel to Elvis' Holmby Hills home in California to visit with Elvis' four and a half year old daughter, Lisa Marie.

The couple are once again sun bathing by the pool when Lisa arrives at the house. Elvis goes and brings Lisa poolside.

"This is Daddy's new girlfriend, Linda. She is from Memphis." Elvis tells Lisa.

Lisa staying close to Daddy's leg says, " Hi"

Linda says, "Hey, I've heard a lot about you. Your Daddy told me so many nice things about you. I'm really happy to meet you."

Lisa plays around the pool under the careful eye of Elvis. The couple stretches out on the lounge chairs.

Linda's long hair hangs over the chair and Lisa begins to play with Linda's hair.

Finally Lisa says, "Excuse me Linda."

Linda says, "What, honey?"

Lisa asks, " Do you mind if I brush your hair?"

"No, that would be great." Linda says holding back her excitement.

Little Lisa asks Elvis, "Daddy, can I go to the house and get a brush?"

Elvis beaming says, "Of course, honey."

Lisa brushes Linda's hair for almost ten minutes so carefully, not even a tangle!

Lisa says, " Oh, your hair is so pretty and so long."

Linda thanks little Lisa. Linda says they were close from that moment on!

Did Linda Thompson cheat on Elvis Presley with his own band member?

Linda Thompson acknowledges that she was fully aware Elvis Presley was seeing other women during their time together. For years, there has been talk that Linda, herself stepped out on Elvis with his own band member. In her book, A Little Thing Called Life, Linda dances around the subject quite cleverly. She acknowledges being sick and tired of watching Elvis sleep all day and the cheating. She talks about one day she finally left Elvis sleeping and went out during the day. It was then that she developed a friendship with Elvis' keyboard player, David Briggs. Linda admits to being attracted to David. Sheila Caan has lost her battle with Cancer, our thoughts and prayers go out to her family & friends. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal Sheila (Ryan) Caan dated Elvis Presley, went on to marry actor James Caan  with whom she has a son, Scott Caan, also an actor.
